What are the requirements for joining the Toledo Teachers Credit Union?

An individual can join the Toledo Teachers Credit Union if he/she meets the requirements for our bonds. Click here for detailed information on how to become a member.

What is the minimum amount required for opening an account?

A total of $36.00 BZD is required for opening an account of which $20.00 BZD is your Membership Share.

Are deposits with credit unions insured?

YES, they are!

Am I required to have savings in my shares in order to qualify for a loan from TTCU?

You are required to have 10% of the total amount you want to borrow in your Shares Account in order to qualify for a loan.

Do I have to be a member before I can get a loan?

Membership is required before all services provided by TTCU can be accessed.

How long will I have to be a member before I can get a loan?

You are eligible to apply for a loan 6 months after becoming a member.

How can I get a Salary Advance?

In order to access the Salary Advance Loan, your net salary must be coming to the Toledo Teachers Credit Union for at least four months. Next you visit one of our Branches and speak to a Credit Officer.

How does a Credit Union differ from a Bank?

There are many differences between banks and credit unions. But the most important is that credit unions are democratically run by the people they serve – their members. Credit unions’ primary commitment is to serve their members’ financial needs, whereas banks and trust companies exist to earn dividends for shareholders.

Can I conduct transactions on behalf of my spouse, child, parent, sibling or a relative?

Yes, you can. To conduct transactions on behalf of another TTCU member, you would need to have a Third-Party Authorization Form unless you are the parent of a juvenile member.

What should I do if I misplaced my bank book and cannot recall my account number?

Simply visit any of our branches and provide your full name and identification to the representative who will be able to provide you with your account number and other requested information.

How do I download the TTCU Mobile Banking app?

Simply search “Toledo Teachers Credit Union” in the App Store of Google Play and then follow the instructions to install the application on your device.
